The Coventry & Solihull Waste Disposal Company Limited (“we”) are a "data controller" of the personal information you provide to us. This means that we are responsible for deciding how we hold and use personal information about you. How we will use the information about you
We are committed to protecting the privacy and security of your personal information. We will use the personal information we collect via our use of Waste Disclaimers to prevent and detect crime, to monitor whether our sites are being used appropriately as domestic household waste and recycling centres. We may share your personal information with the relevant local council or, if you are entering our sites as an employee of a third party organisation, we may share your personal information with your employer if we consider your actions whilst you are on our site to be dangerous or breaking the law.
The legal basis for this processing of your personal information is for our legitimate business interests as set out in the paragraph above, except where such interests are overridden by your interests or fundamental rights and freedoms.
How long we keep it
A copy of the Waste Disclaimer will be issue to you one copy will be stored by us and the final copy forwarded to Coventry City Council. Exactly how long the Waste Disclaimer will be retained for will vary according to the purpose for which it was issued. However the maximum time a Waste Disclaimer will be kept will be 12 months.
Your rights
Under certain circumstances, by law you have the right to:
- request access to, correction or erasure of, the personal information we hold about you;
- request the restriction of processing of your personal information;
- object to processing of your personal information where we are relying on a legitimate interest and there is something about your particular situation which makes you want to object to processing on this ground; and
- request the transfer of your personal information to another party.
